Inclusive Summer Camps

camp4.jpg

Our inclusive summer camps provide time for children and teens of all abilities to be outside in a fun, safe and therapeutic environment on our farm. Each camp will focus on teaching riding and horsemanship skills, team building, social skills, fun group activities with and without our specially trained therapy horses and plenty of opportunities to cool down with water games and crafts inside our new air conditioned space! Each camp is open to individuals with and without disabilities. These camps will be run by our certified staff who are trained specifically to adapt skills to be accessible to participants of all levels and abilities and are also certified in CPR and First Aid. Please carefully review the information below to learn about camper requirements, what our camps offer, and everything your camper needs to bring for a week of fun on the farm!

About the Camps:

  • Camps will be offered the weeks of June 22-26, July 6-10 and July 20-24

  • Riders of all abilities and levels are welcome at all camps

  • Drop-off for camps will be 8:00-8:15 so we can ride early before the heat sets in! Pickup will be at 12pm each day.

  • A non-refundable $50 deposit is required upon sign-up to hold your camper’s spot and will be put towards the fee of the camp. If for any reason the week of camp you signed up for does not run due to lack of participants, your deposit will be refunded.

  • The cost for camp is $250 if signed up prior to June 1. June 1 or after the fee is $275.

  • The camp fee must be paid in full no later than the Friday before the week of camp runs. Payments can be made via cash, check, Paypal or Venmo. If you would prefer to bring payment the first day of camp to avoid having to mail payment, please contact us so we can make arrangements with you.

  • We must have a minimum of 5 participants each week for a camp to run. If we do not reach that number, your deposit will be returned.

  • If a camper is not a current MMTHC student, an evaluation will need to be set up with the MMTHC Executive Director in advance of the camp to make sure our camps will be a good fit for your child.

  • If a camper is not a current MMTHC student, all MMTHC paperwork (including our medical form) must be filled out and returned at least 1 week prior to the first day of camp.

  • Campers will be grouped together by riding level for group riding lessons each week- those who need assistance will ride together and those riding independently will ride together to ensure each camper gets the most out of their lessons.

  • Please note that while many of our activities will be outside, we will have plenty of opportunities for campers to cool off with water games outside and also snacks and craft time inside our air conditioned building.
